Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Caskwire collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Caskwire, you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide — such as your email address (when you join the waitlist or contact us), your Discord account identifier (when you join the community), payment information processed by our payment provider (for paid memberships), and content you add, including your bottle collection ("Your Shelf"), preferences, and messages or questions you submit to our AI features.
Information collected automatically — such as IP address, browser and device information, and usage data, collected through cookies and similar technologies and through analytics tools.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to operate, provide, maintain, and improve the Service; deliver alerts, recommendations, and AI-assisted features personalized to your preferences and shelf; process memberships and payments; communicate with you about the Service; analyze usage; protect against fraud and abuse; and comply with legal obligations.
3. AI Processing of Your Data
When you use our AI features, the questions you ask and relevant context — which may include your shelf and preferences — are processed to generate a response, including by third-party AI/model providers acting on our behalf. Do not submit sensitive personal information to AI features. We do not use your private content to publicly train models without your consent.
4. Third-Party Services & Sharing
We rely on trusted third-party providers to operate the Service, including Discord (community and delivery), payment processors (billing), AI/model providers (AI features), hosting, and analytics. These providers process information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies.
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a business transfer.
5. Cookies & Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember preferences, and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect functionality.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes. You may request deletion of your information as described below, subject to obligations that require us to retain certain data.
7. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of marketing communications. Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA), the EU/UK (GDPR), and other regions may have additional rights. To exercise any right, contact us at the address below.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Age Restriction
The Service is intended only for individuals who are at least 21 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21 (or under 13 in any case). If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
